I loved blue mages in FFXI. I did this old painting a while back of my old character (Yeah, I played a male elvaan so no one would harass me... but every time someone found out I'm actually a she I got harassed anyway!)

blue mages are cool. Aht Urghan was cool. I liked that storyline quite a lot.

Alas I remember the good ol FFXI days. Like a previous poster; I do hope Blue Mage will be considered in the new saga of FFXIV: A Realm Reborn. It'll be interesting to say the least with Male Miqo'te (Mithra) and Female Roegadyn (Galka) becoming playable. I'm wondering if you'll pick FFXIV up?

if they really fix FFXIV and make it look half as awesome as the New Era trailer looked, then i'll gladly pick it up if time allows me to lol

Well they said they'd be bringing back old school job classes; Paladin, Summoner, Red Mage, White Mage, Black Mage, And all those. And there are already automatons from the previous FFXIV seen in the Uldah Opening Cinematic. So maybe it's safe to say they'll be bringing Blue Mage back?

And yeah.. End of an Era was pretty epic. The praying guys were from all the story lines I do believe.You can also catch a glimpse of the Female Roegadyn Captain from I think Limsa Lominsa on a chocobo. The praying Miqo'te was from Limsa Lominsa Story Line. The praying Hyuran and Lalafell were from Gridania Storyline, and the Hyuran Male was from Uldah story line. Can't remember where the old Elezen was from... But it was really awesome to see the storyline characters you played along with in the final cinematic. My friend and I are def gonna play a Real Reborn!
